We want your new sofa to fit beautifully into your space, so we’ve created this simple guide to help you find the right one. While our delivery team will do everything they can to place your sofa exactly where you want it, it’s a good idea to plan ahead for any tricky spots. Here’s how to make sure your delivery goes smoothly.
Start by deciding where your sofa will fit best. Sofas are often placed against a wall, but that’s not the only option. Many designs look great from every angle, so you can position yours as a stylish centerpiece. Use it to define zones in an open-plan space or create a cozy gathering area by pairing it with a coffee table. Whatever your layout, choose the perfect spot first to make the most of your space.
Next, make a note of the dimensions of the sofa. The basic dimensions you would need are: Width, Height & Depth.
These dimensions are listed on our product pages under the specifications tab, or you can find them on the product images. Make sure you compare the dimensions of the sofa against your room dimensions to see if it would fit. You can also follow the images below to measure the dimensions .
Ensure you measure the extended depth while buying recliners, massage chairs, and home cinema sofas.

Measure across the sofa from one outer armrest to the other.

Measure from the floor to the highest point of the backrest.

Measure from the front edge of the seat cushion to where the backrest meets the seat.
Add your dimensions below and find the exact sofa for your room.
Next, think about the route your sofa will need to take to get to the room. Watch out for any tight spots or obstacles that might get in the way. It’s a good idea to move things like mirrors, artwork, furniture, plants, and other things out of the way to avoid any damage to your new sofa.

Make sure the sofa can get through the main doors. Measure the width of the doorway first - if it’s a bit narrow, the sofa might need to be turned upright to fit through.
In that case, check that the height of the doorway is greater than the width of the sofa to make sure it’ll go in smoothly.

Sometimes hallways can be narrow, and they can have bends or obstructions that make it tricky for delivery teams to manoeuvre the item to the required room. It may be important to keep a note of the widths of the corners, beams and bends in the hall, too.

If your new sofa needs to go up a flight of stairs, measure the staircase at its narrowest point. As long as the width of the stairs is greater than the height of the sofa, it should fit through without any trouble.
If your staircase has a bannister, the delivery team might need to lift the sofa over it.In that case, check the gap between the bannister and the ceiling - it needs to be bigger than the depth of the sofa to make sure it can be lifted over safely.
And if your furniture needs to pass through a landing, don’t forget to measure the width, depth, and height of the space. If those measurements are larger than the sofa, you should be good to go.

Does your building have a lift that our delivery team will need to use?
If so, measure the height and width of the lift to check if your sofa will fit in. As long as those measurements are bigger than the depth of your sofa, you should be good to go.
