Description
Unlock sweeping perspectives and low-light confidence with the Canon RF 16-28mm F2.8 IS STM, a fast ultra-wide angle zoom designed for creators who demand sharp, stable, and cinematic results. Its bright f/2.8 maximum aperture delivers excellent depth of field control and striking subject separation, while the versatile 16-28mm focal range pulls more of the scene into every frame for landscapes, architecture, interiors, and dynamic video content.
Keep shots steady and smooth with up to 5.5-stops of optical image stabilization, enabling handheld photos and video in challenging light without sacrificing clarity. The responsive STM focus drive is quick, quiet, and fluid, perfect for run-and-gun filmmaking, on-the-go vlogging, and capturing stills with tack-sharp precision. In-camera distortion correction supports a compact, travel-ready design that encourages creativity wherever you shoot.
Engineered for high image quality, the optical formula features two aspheric elements and four UD elements, paired with Super Spectra coatings to reduce flare and ghosting and enhance contrast and color fidelity. A nine-blade aperture renders beautiful star-like highlights and smooth background blur, adding polish to night scenes, cityscapes, and environmental portraits.
Built to work as hard as you do, this lens is compact, lightweight at approximately 445 g, and retracts to a space-saving 91 mm for effortless portability. Weather-resistant construction helps it stand up to rain, moisture, and dust, offering near-L series performance in a streamlined form factor that you can leave on the camera all day.
From expansive ultra-wide landscapes to immersive handheld video, the Canon RF 16-28mm F2.8 IS STM balances speed, stabilization, and portability to elevate your storytelling. Whether you are exploring creative angles, shooting in low light, or capturing smooth focus transitions, this ultra-wide zoom is a reliable, travel-friendly powerhouse.
