Delight your little one with a charming first toy that supports early development from day one. The Wooden Hedgehog Grasping Toy Rattle by Heimess pairs timeless, sustainable materials with engaging sensory features to encourage grasp, focus, and curiosity. Perfectly sized for tiny hands, this hedgehog-shaped rattle invites babies to reach, hold, and explore through touch, sight, and sound.
Handcrafted in Germany from high-quality, sustainable wood, the smooth natural finish feels soothing against small palms, while colourful painted spots capture attention and stimulate visual tracking. Inside the central ring, brightly coloured wooden beads roll and clatter gently, creating a soft rattle that introduces cause-and-effect and auditory awareness without overwhelming sensitive ears.
Designed for safe everyday play, this baby rattle uses non-toxic, saliva-resistant paints, giving parents peace of mind during the mouthing stage. The ergonomic hedgehog silhouette offers multiple grasp points to strengthen little fingers and support the development of fine motor skills and the grasping reflex. Lightweight and durable, it is easy to take along for on-the-go sensory play and calming entertainment.
With its thoughtful design and beautifully crafted details, this wooden grasping rattle makes a lovely newborn gift and a nursery essential. It blends tactile exploration, gentle sound, and playful colour to help babies discover textures and movement at their own pace. A sweet keepsake and an everyday favorite, it is a natural choice for early sensory development.
