The Montpellier 59cm Plug In induction hob offers the perfect solution if you are looking for a four zone hob that is really easy to install – simply plug it in and cook.
General Specification
With four zones, touch controls and an easy clean surface, this induction hob is practical and stylish, providing quick heat when you need it.
Induction Technology
Induction technology means the pan* is heated directly rather than wasting energy heating the cooking surface. This is how it is able to heat up quicker than a ceramic hob. There is also little residual heat from the cooking surface which means spills can be quickly wiped up after cooking.
*The pan must have a high iron content due to induction working on magnetism.
‘Plug and Play’
This hob is ‘plug and play’ meaning there is no need to hardwire as it comes with a 13amp plug attached. If you are using more than 2 zones at a time the power is split evenly between the hobs making sure that you get an even power supply across all zones.
Timer
The 99 Minute Timer can be used in 2 different ways. As a Minute Minder, in this case the timer will not turn any cooking zone off following the allotted time. Or as an Individual Zone timer – set durations to turn one or more of the cooking zones off, allowing extra time for other tasks.
Boost
Touching the boost control button ‘B’ , which can be used on any of the 4 cooking zones, will increase the heat to maximum. This function will return to the original heat setting after 5 minutes, unless manually turned off.
Safety
Control panel lock – prevent unintended use (e.g. children accidentally turning the cooking zones on).
Heat indicator light – hot hob warning light.
Another safety feature of the hob is automatic shutdown. This occurs when a cooking zone is left on for an extended period of time. The higher the temperature the quicker the appliance will power off.
